California Education Code (EC) 48980 requires schools to annually notify parents of their rights and responsibilities with respect to several topics. Additionally, Education Code 48982 requires that schools collect assurance from parents that they have been made aware of how to access the information contained in the Notification of Parental Rights and Responsibilities.
